It’s an exciting time to be part of TLA Financial Services! We've just launched a new website (you may have noticed), and we’re ramping up our social media presence on Instagram, LinkedIn, and X. These platforms will be our new hubs to share valuable insights and updates and to best explain why the U.S.-style escrow experience benefits Realtors, investors, developers, attorneys and more for their Mexican and Latin American land deals. 

Plus, as part of our website overhaul, we’re bringing back this blog so our current partners and prospective clients can learn more about what we do and how we do it. 

Who are we again?

TLA Services was started in 2006 by three industry professionals who saw the need to offer a better, more compliant and more secure escrow experience for real estate transactions in Mexico and Latin America. Over the years, their vision – and so much more – has come to fruition.

What is escrow?

We’re glad you asked! Our new FAQ page answers that question and many more, but here’s the short version: Escrow is a financial arrangement in which a neutral third party holds funds, documents or assets on behalf of the parties involved in a transaction until all conditions of the agreement are met. Just think of us as extra protection for both the buyer and seller. Plus, our strong foundations based on the U.S. industry's best practices ensure compliance, security, and professionalism in every transaction.

 It's also important to note that TLA follows strict regulations, including anti-money laundering laws and fraud prevention, ensuring a reliable and legally sound transaction.

This week, we also announced that TLA can now receive Mexican Pesos at a bank in Mexico.

While we continue to offer Mexican peso transactions through our existing U.S. bank, this new account provides added flexibility to meet our clients’ escrow needs.
